Re Section 145 of the Companies 'Act 1929
Correspondents of ours in Hongkong write to us that a new
Companies' Ordinance has recently been passed by the Hongkong
Legislature, and that the above Section of the English Companies
Act has been incorporated, with the exception that application must
be made for exemption to the Court instead of to the Board of Trade.
Our Correspondents inform us that they have a number of
clients who will probably require exemption but that before they
nake application to the Court they would like to be supplied with
information as to the procedure in England and the grounds upon
which the Board will grant exemption.
We shall be much obliged therefore if you will kindly send
us any forms necessary in connection with an application for
exemption, together with any instructions or directions issued by
the Board, the grounds on which it is granted, and the conditions,
if any, imposed upon Companies when exemption is granted, and
generally any information upon the matter.
The Secretary,
Board of Trade,
